OUR STUDIO
Toro Arquitectos C.S.P., was founded in 2011 by José Javier Toro, following almost twenty years as a partner in Toro Ferrer Arquitectos. José fosters a collaborative studio environment, with an efficient organization following a tradition of design excellence established by his father, prominent modernist Puerto Rican architect, Osvaldo Toro, FAIA since the early 1940's. Each project is approached from a perspective that responds to its environment and seeks solutions that are conceptually clear, practical, and firmly rooted in their context.
Since its founding, the firm has maintained the same administrative and contractual support team, consultants in the areas of legal, finance and accounting, as well as a distinguished group of consulting engineers and landscape architects, lighting designers and other specialized consultants. This structure, organized to guarantee the optimal management of managerial processes and product excellence, has made Toro Arquitectos one of the leading architectural design firms in Puerto Rico. Toro Arquitectos has been widely recognized by peers receiving multiple awards from the Puerto Rico Architect's Association and the American Institute of Architects. José's design excellence was recognized in 2020 when the American Institute of Architects elevated him to the College of Fellows. Toro Arquitectos continues the tradition of excellence in design and architecture for years to come.
