José Javier Toro founded TORO Arquitectos in 2010 after nearly 20 years as a partner at Toro Ferrer Arquitectos.
His practice fosters a collaborative studio environment where challenges are transformed into tools and opportunities for design. Each project is approached with a keen awareness of its context, seeking solutions that are conceptually clear, practical, and firmly grounded in their setting.

TORO Y FERRER
Toro y Ferrer was an architectural firm and one of the principal exponents of Puerto Rico’s tropical modernism. Founded 1945 by Osvaldo Toro FAIA (1914–1995), Miguel Ferrer FAIA (1914–2005) and Luis Torregrosa, the firm designed some of Puerto Rico’s most significant modern landmarks.
