PUNTA LAS MARÍAS HOUSE

The unique location of the site provided a potential for beautiful ocean views on three sides and served as the generating force in the design of this house for a mother and her young son.  Leaving storage and service spaces on the ground floor and raising the main living areas, including the pool and terrace permits the enjoyment of these views. A simple cube-like reinforced concrete structure is patterned with a texture which abstracts the trunk of the many coconut trees on the site.  Windows are punched as required to take advantage of views.
